I hope you’re doing fantasterrifically because the truth is, that’s the minimum you deserve! You may know that I love this time of year and this season that we are entering. I sometimes refer to it as the “Season of Success”. “Why?”, you might ask? Because success, however YOU define it – and no matter HOW you define it – is rooted in the perspective with which you approach it.
Nothing will pave the way for your success in ANY area of your life like an attitude of gratitude – genuinely recognized and readily expressed. Think about it. More than a temporary or forced “state of mind”, I’m talking about a genuine “way of being.” Such an approach, or rather genuine “lens on life,” portends a plethora of promises to the plenteously perceptive. Genuine gratitude will:
Reduce the friction we face in our day-to-day struggles, often re-framing them as strivings we can overcome; relieve us of so many of the stresses that hinder the power of our creativity and resourcefulness; prepare our minds and hearts to be open to new ideas so we are more powerfully able to do things differently, do different things, or create new directions; promote our accessing our true and deeper gifts and talents while encouraging us to use them to bless others – which always blesses us; result in our becoming more “magnetically attractive” to those we seek to do business with by serving – not just “selling” them – as we become more capable of understanding their needs; helps us avoid the obstacles to our success – those things we see when we take our focus off our goals; attract to us more of those things we desire because we have made more room for them in our lives as we have cleared out the congestion and clutter of our self-absorbed concerns.
If you will indulge me, I’ll suggest that genuine gratitude might simply be the result of a thank-filled application of faith – in things both practical and spiritual – in those matters we truly value, desire and recognize as blessings and gifts in our lives.
I truly have much to be grateful for, including those of you who have been so supportive, responsive and encouraging of my desire and efforts to serve and help you experience The Power of Success by Design© in your own lives. As you do, mine is enriched and all around you are blessed. So here’s a GREAT BIG THANK YOU!
To help kick your season off to a great (and hopefully grateful) start, I’ve posted some quotes that may be helpful. I hope they are and that you enjoy them.
“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” – Albert Schweitzer
“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.” – Epictetus
“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?” – William A. Ward
“If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.” – Frank A. Clark
